Saint Claire Shores was the home of the Jefferson Beach Amusement Park. It was built in 1927 and had the world’s longest roller coaster. SCS was inhabited by the French in 1710 and was originally called L’anse Creuse. The name lives on with L’anse Creuse Public Schools and L’anse Creuse High School. Garage Clean-Out
We once cleared out a two and one half car garage and it’s rafters in Saint Clair Shores. It sounds easy, but it was quite a challenging job! Clutter filled every inch of space there. The homeowner didn’t know what was in there. We donated about half of the items to charity and recycled a large percentage of the remaining debris.
